LIFE IS LIVING
The drama is about the estranged brotherly bond of two young men, which is severely tested when one of them is diagnosed with cancer and loses his will to live. His brother doesn´t see his struggling and they get more and more distant. In the last minute they find together again, but then are torn apart forever.
Shooting “Life is living” was super stressful, but also super fun. Despite all obstacles, we managed to create a film that in my opinion is very moving and that gives away a great message. I hope that I can inspire a few people to pause a second and think about what they saw.
I was very happy about Isabel’s request. It was incredibly fun to understand her vision
in the pre-production work and to work out a common denominator of this in the image
design. She had detailed ideas about how her story should be told across all levels, which
made you forget in places that this was a student production. She had also, in one of her first student short film projects, set a high bar for herself and was able to recruit an experienced cast for “Life is living” – again showing her commitment to bringing her projects to life. The collaboration with Isabel as director and screenwriter as well as the whole team harmonized both on set and beyond the production. I would welcome the opportunity to work on another film project with Isabel in the future.
